The device will consume less energy than an LED lightbulb (5W) at peak.
If your device goes offline, the first step is to first unplug, wait 1 minute and then plug the device back
into the wall. If this does not fix your issue, you can then try repairing the device using the Helium app
available on both iPhone and Android. Connect it to the Helium app and run the diagnostic check on it.
You can also submit a ticket or email us at support@elysiumtech.io.
Email support@elysiumtech.io and we can schedule someone to come and verify that the device is
broken. Once the damage/broken is confirmed by our team, you will get a new device.
No. The network is only meant for devices that use LoRaWAN which is a special network designed for particular consumer devices to pass a small amount of data over a long range network.
LoRaWAN is a low-power, wide area networking protocol built on top of the LoRa radio modulation
technique. It wirelessly connects devices to the internet and manages communication between end-
node devices and network gateways. Usage of LoRaWAN in industrial spaces and smart cities is growing
because it is an affordable long-range, bi-directional communication protocol with very low power
consumption — devices can run for ten years on a small battery. It uses the unlicensed ISM (Industrial,
Scientific, Medical) radio bands for network deployments.
No. The Helium E-Spot creates a Long-Fi radio signal and routes packets from low-power devices in your
area that use LoRaWAN and have been deployed to the Helium Network. Typically these are devices
such as GPS trackers, environmental sensors, weather meters, etc., that only need to transmit and share small bits of information. The E-Spot uses your existing Internet (via WiFi or Ethernet) to deliver the data packets sent by devices. It does not replace internet or cellular service for regular devices like computers and smartphones.
E-Spots earn by providing and validating network coverage provided by other E-Spots. This includes both
sending a challenge over the internet or validating coverage of other E-Spots within range.
It's best to have at least one or two other E-Spots within radio range of you so that you can participate in PoC Challenges to earn rewards a higher rate of HNT. If you are the only E-Spot in your area, you can still earn HNT if a device uses your E-Spots and by initiating the Challenges. Tokens are distributed based on
these economics.
A Challenge requires a small group of E-Spots to prove that they are in the location that they say they are. If they truly are there and online, and within radio distance of each other, then they can hear the "call" and respond as a witness to validate their position.
If E-Spots are too close – less than 300 meters – they will not be eligible to witness each other as part of
POC challenges and may compete with each other for challenges. Their overall participation in Proof-of-
Coverage would be impacted also, since rewards are also density based. Proof of coverage rewards
good, wide coverage. You'll earn more HNT if you do this.

You will be eligible to receive the 10% referral bonus for 6 months.
The E-Spot device is location bound so you need to inform ElysiumTech prior to moving your device or the device will not earn any rewards. Your new address will need to be approved by the ElysiumTech team. We will take care of return shipping expenses. Please email us at support@elysiumtech.io to send
you the return shipping label where you can return your E-Spot for reassertion.
The security of the network and E-Spot owners is of the utmost importance. While the Internet
connection is necessary, it is only used to provide connectivity to the E-Spot to transmit data received
for blockchain peer-to-peer and LongFi networking. The E-Spot cannot be used to access any information contained within your personal network and cannot be used by outside devices to access your home or business network. Helium-enabled LoRaWAN devices are hardware-secured to protect
the traffic from the utilized spectrum. This means the security is built-in since devices using the network
have AES private key encryption at the chip level.you the return shipping label where you can return your E-Spot for reassertion.
